GRE Requirements


The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test is a computer based comprehensive knowledge exam. The Educational Testing Service administers the GRE. For convenient scheduling of the test, call 1-800-GRE-CALL or visit the USU testing services website. GRE scores must be received by October 2 of the year of application. Please note: test scores that are more than five years old on October 2 of the year of application will not be accepted. Only the general GRE exam is required. Subject tests are not needed or considered. To have your test scores reported directly to the WSU-CVM enter the school code 4984 and department code 0617 on your test form. Alternatively, GRE scores can be mailed to:

While there is no minimum score required on the GRE successful applicants almost always have scores of over 1000. The average of successful applicants is usually around 1100.
