Reindeer Express Cancelled

The Utah State University School of Veterinary Medicine planned to start the Christmas season with this year’s edition of The Reindeer Express. However, for the health and safety of community members, faculty, staff and students, Reindeer Express has been cancelled.

Please don’t worry about Santa’s reindeer. They still get great care and a veterinarian will be sure they are healthy and ready for Christmas this year.

Please enjoy a look at some memories from past years’ events. Some of our goals for The Reindeer Express are:

  • Creating opportunities for guests to meet a variety of animals
  • Informing guests about basic animal care
  • Encouraging young people to consider becoming veterinarians
  • Building the scholarship endowment that helps current and future students

Endowed scholarships are important to our students’ lives and futures. Attending veterinary medical school requires a significant investment of money and time. Coursework is demanding and long hours are spent studying and gaining experience in labs. Building an endowment means a substantial sum of money is invested and the interest on that investment continuously provides scholarship funding for students. Please consider giving a gift that helps the School of Veterinary Medicine support and prepare outstanding future veterinarians. Donations of any amount will make a difference in students' lives as funds come together to build the scholarship endowment.

Online giving is easy at our secure website or contact Michelle Merrill, michelle.merrill@usu.edu, 435-797-8556.
