The College of Veterinary Medicine Photo Contest

Every semester, the College of Veterinary Medicine holds a photo contest where students submit pictures that capture life in the DVM program both in and out of the classroom. The contest is open to all vet med students at Utah State University, and three winners receive $25 electronic Amazon gift cards. You don't need to have any photography experience to participate or win — just do your best to show your experience at USU.

Photos received by May 20 are considered for the spring contest, while photos received by December 20 are considered for the fall contest. There is no limit to the number of photos you may send (more is better!), but please make sure to include 1-5 sentences explaining who is in the photo(s), where and when it was taken, and anything else you'd like to share. Photos may be uploaded through the photo upload page in the internal student access menu or emailed to ethan.brightbill@usu.edu. If you have any questions or need help, don't hesitate to contact Ethan Brightbill at the address above.

Please ask people for permission before taking their picture. While we'll share the top 20-50 pictures on the CVM website depending on how many receive, we'll also send out a preview email to all of you beforehand in case anyone finds themselves in a photo they'd rather not appear in. If you don’t want to be in a photo, we’re happy to find a replacement image.

The photos we receive are used on the CVM website, in important documents such as reports for the AVMA Council on Education, and anywhere else where we need to illustrate what it means to be a student in the CVM. We appreciate your willingness to share your experience with us, and we look forward to seeing what you submit!
