Research Resources
Research
Research brings innovative ideas and learning opportunities for students as well as stretches faculty in ways that promote their growth and success. These resources are meant to assist you as you work towards grant funding and collaborating on projects. Timelines for these submissions are usually not convenient.
Please contact Katie Dana (katie.dana@usu.edu) early in the process so she can help you submit your grants in a timely manner. Greg Podgorski can also be a resource when needing your grant reviewed. Once the process has begun, Brenda Poulsen (brenda.poulsen@usu.edu) can assist you with the financial information for your grants and help understand the timeline from submission, to approval, to acquiring the actual funding.

Graduate Student Onboarding Resources
Once a grant has been approved and funding received, as a researcher you may want to bring on a graduate student to assist in the project. These resources can assist you in knowing how to go about the process of finding a graduate student, communicating the intent with the graduate committee and department head, and bringing on the help of the GPC to assist in the admission process of the student. Note, although we are on a rolling basis timeline (meaning our application never closes), graduate students are only accepted to begin in the semesters Fall or Spring. These resources can also guide you in being a mentor to graduate students.
