Cellular and Molecular Physiology

Research in this focus area uses molecular and cellular biology approaches to understand the physiological mechanisms that drive animal health and disease. Research areas comprise reproductive biology (with a focus on germline epigenetics and fertility), aging (with a focus on cellular and metabolic pathways that influence longevity and metabolic decline), and neurobiology.
