Utah State University Veterinary Alumni Association

Utah State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine is the first and only veterinary school in Utah. The School of Veterinary Medicine is part of the Washington-Idaho-Montana-Utah (WIMU) Regional Program in Veterinary Medicine. Recently, the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences formed the Utah State University Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association (USU-VMAA). The USU-VMAA seeks to give back to USU alumni through a variety of ways:

  • Promote education and opportunities for academic research to students and professionals within the field of veterinary science
  • Provide Continuing Education credit opportunities for members
  • Mentor and support students in the School of Veterinary Medicine with guest lectures and externship opportunities
  • Network and collaborate with veterinary medicine professionals in Utah and surrounding states

The USU-VMAA strives for coordination of training and mentoring of students and veterinarians; mutually beneficial relationships among students, professionals, and USU faculty and staff; and a strong foundation of excellence in leadership, academics, and veterinary service in the state of Utah. To qualify for membership, a person must have attended at least one semester as either a pre-vet student or veterinary medicine student, worked as an instructor, or worked in the field of veterinary medicine.
