Ariat partners with USU's veterinary college to support students in scrubs
Utah State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is the grateful recipient of a generous workwear donation from Ariat International, including scrubs for students in a variety of sizes, styles, and colors.
The donation reflects a natural connection between Ariat and veterinary medicine. Known for designing performance-driven products, Ariat regularly puts its products to the test in real-world settings. USU veterinary students are doing just that, providing feedback on the scrubs’ fit, flexibility, style, and comfort throughout their classes, labs, and clinical training.
Ariat takes its name from Secretariat, the legendary racehorse and 1973 Triple Crown winner. Co-founder and Executive Chair Beth Cross remembers watching Secretariat win the Kentucky Derby and says his extraordinary athleticism, heart and competitive spirit remain an enduring inspiration for the company.
“For our students especially, these gifts help offset the costs associated with their professional training while providing comfortable, functional clothing they can rely on throughout long days in the classroom, laboratory and clinical settings,” said Michael Bishop, director of student affairs for USU’s College of Veterinary Medicine. “We are tremendously grateful to Ariat for investing in our students and supporting the next generation of veterinarians.”
