Sponsorship Benefits

Partner Recognition

Organizations earn recognition through financial support, in-kind donations, educational engagement, or a combination of these contributions. Badge status is based on cumulative contributions made during the academic year (July 1–June 30) and may increase as additional contributions are received. Partner, Active Partner, and Strategic Partner badges are valid through the academic year in which they are earned, while Impact and Legacy Partner badges remain active for two academic years.

How Impact Is Calculated for Badge Level

The badge level is determined by the cumulative value of financial contributions, approved in-kind donations, and qualifying educational or student engagement activities completed during the academic year. Each activity is assigned a standardized value to ensure consistent and equitable recognition across all partners.

  • In-kind donations of products or supplies – counted at documented fair market value
  • Guest lectures or educational presentations – valued at $250 per presenter per hour (through OSS, clubs, vendor reps, academic lectures)
  • Hands-on skills, laboratories, or wet labs – valued at $150 per presenter per hour (through OSS, clubs, vendor reps, academic lectures)
  • Clinic tours, shadowing, or experiential learning opportunities – valued at $50/hour (club sponsored or through OSS)
  • Mock interviews, mentoring – valued at $100 per presenter per hour
  • Continuing partnership activities approved by the Office of Student Services such as Event sponsorship (i.e. Frankly Speaking, Holiday Socials, etc.) – valued at dollar amount given
  • Financial contributions – counted at the full dollar amount contributed
Disclaimer

Student ambassador programs alone do not qualify for badge credit. Badge credit may be awarded for qualifying activities sponsored through the program, including educational presentations, meals, event sponsorships, mentoring, or other approved contributions.

The Office of Student Services reserves the right to determine eligibility and assign values for contributions not specifically listed. Decisions regarding badge qualifications are final.
